Case study

Supporting a multi-sectoral Coalition to drive action on stroke

The goal

To support a Coalition of private and public sector partners in elevating stroke on global and national policy agendas in the lead-up to the UN High-Level Meeting on NCDs (September 2025).

Infinity’s Approach

Focus on co-creation

We helped the Coalition’s convener, the World Stroke Organization, to facilitate a collaborative process that brought partners together. Through structured workshops, we enabled partners to collectively shape the Coalition’s vision, key messages and key policy priorities. We developed a strategic engagement plan that helped members seize opportunities and build momentum throughout the year.

Visual identity and messaging

We created a distinct and bold brand identity and messaging framework that resonated with members from all sectors, while considering the different priorities of Coalition’s members.

Clear and compelling policy asks

We developed a policy brief articulating the Coalition’s asks for policymakers. This foundational document served as both a strategic reference point for the Coalition and a tool that members could adapt for their own advocacy efforts and stakeholder engagements.

Bold campaign

We designed and launched the “Every Minute Counts” digital campaign to raise awareness of the policy priorities and catalyse action. The campaign created sustained visibility throughout the year, with pushes aligned with major events and policy windows.

Strategic engagement and visibility

We supported the Coalition in delivering a successful launch, a high-level event at the World Health Assembly, and with broader visibility efforts such as media outreach.

The impact

The Coalition represents the first movement of its kind focused specifically on stroke advocacy, achieving remarkable success in both depth of member engagement and breadth of external influence. Eight health ministers across diverse regions have committed as Coalition champions, and hundreds of organisations have formally endorsed the Coalition’s objectives. Having established itself as a credible and enduring force in global stroke advocacy, the Coalition’s work continues, as members support champion ministers and other policymakers to develop national stroke action plans and implement robust systems for stroke prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation, translating policy commitments into tangible health outcomes.

We loved this project because…

Increasing awareness and inspiring action among policymakers can transform how countries prevent, treat, and manage stroke, ultimately saving lives and improving outcomes for millions. Contributing to this work gave us a strong sense of making a meaningful, tangible impact.
