Developing a promotional brochure for physicians for an injectable medical device

The goal

To craft an engaging medical brochure for specialist physicians that showcases the efficacy and safety of an injectable medical device and promotes its prescription.

Our approach

Literature review

A literature review at the outset allowed us to understand the data supporting the efficacy and safety of the medical device. We also interviewed key stakeholders to gather further insights into both the target patient population and the product.

Content planning and development

Using this analysis, we planned the brochure layout accordingly – taking care to emphasise the unique selling points. We then selected the most relevant and powerful clinical efficacy data to use in the brochure to support these key messages. Following client approval, we brought the plan to life by creating clear and informative narrative content for each section, complete with references to supporting data and literature.

Brochure design

With the copy complete, we created an engaging design that aligned with the product’s branding. We used infographics and graphs to visually showcase the product’s efficacy and safety data, and we paired it with positive choices of imagery that represented the target patient population.

The impact

The brochure is in active use and has received positive feedback from physicians. It takes its place as part of a broader promotional project for the portfolio, which includes a major rebrand, a dedicated webpage speaking directly to the needs of the patient, and new brochures for additional products.

We loved this project because…

It brought together our skills in medical writing, communications, and design. It was hugely rewarding to receive such positive feedback and know that our efforts are facilitating access to a device that is improving patients’ lives.
