Case study

Developing a website to help people with cancer live well

The goal

To produce a website that will empower people living with cancer to make positive lifestyle choices that can improve their quality of life.

Our approach

Landscape analysis

Work began with a literature review to understand the latest research and assess which lifestyle changes are most beneficial for people living with cancer.

Content development

Taking a patient-centric approach to content planning and development, we identified key lifestyle areas to focus on, and created accessible, informative narratives that spoke supportively, positively, and directly to the reader. We also conceptualised a name — oncolifestyle.com — a tagline, and a tone-of-voice that would connect with the audience.

Architecture and design

We developed a visual identity, including a logo, colour palette, and diverse but representative image choices. Content and branding was built into a freshly developed, SEO optimised website, structured for user-friendly navigation, with quick-access menus and in-text links making it easy to find key articles and pages.

The impact

Positioned as a “go-to” resource for patients and healthcare professionals in Switzerland, oncolifestyle.com is live and active with a growing portfolio of content that’s available in four different languages.

We loved this project because…

It gave us the chance to really consider the experience of an individual living with cancer. Drawing on in-house expertise in oncology and patient engagement, we welcomed the challenge of turning complex medical information into accessible and compelling narratives that would make a valuable difference to people’s lives.
