Case study

Convening a regional conference to help turn global policy into local practice

The goal

To organise a two-day event bringing national stakeholders together to support the implementation of a key global health initiative in West Africa.

Our approach

Event planning and development

Working hand-in-hand with event partners, we shaped and refined the conference agenda, developed the concept note, speakers‘ notes (for select presentations/panels) and breakout activities. We were also responsible for the collation and design of final event decks.

Live technical support

Our team provided hands-on technical and logistical support throughout the event. This included notetaking, key message tracking, dynamic slide updates, and the preparation of summary slides and closing statements.

Follow-up communications

Looking back at key learnings and outcomes, we prepared a supporting communications package that included a digital event report, op-ed feature, and highlights video.

The impact

A true team effort, this landmark conference brought together 65+ participants from all 15 West African countries (including national policymakers, ministry and laboratory representatives, funders, and partners) for two days of engaging discussion, debate, and learning.

We loved this project because…

It gave us the chance to work collaboratively with high-level country partners and other key stakeholders. Tapping into a wider context, we are proud to support countries across the region in working towards ‘health for all’.
